Developed in 2012, LugLoc is the first smart luggage tracker in the world. Everything we learned in the long journey from 2012 to today is what we used to create GEGO. The main differences between GEGO and LugLoc are the following:
○ LugLoc works on a 2G network. GEGO works both over 3G and 2G networks, worldwide. That means that GEGO has coverage in 190 countries including Japan, Singapore, Australia, South Korea, etc., where 2G is either not available or being discontinued, and also improves connectivity in all countries since the 3G network is wider spread than 2G.
○ GEGO combines WiFi networks detection with Cell Tower locations, dramatically improving the accuracy of your location reports, while LugLoc only utilizes Cell Tower location. GEGO will not only report the city you are at but literally give the exact address where the device is.
○ GEGO is designed for flight travel, but also for personal use throughout the day. When the device is not near an airport, it will keep reporting its location when it is moving. LugLoc was designed for air travel only, so it doesn't provide the best experience outside of luggage tracking.
○ With GEGO, you can define "Safe Locations", that allow receiving notifications whenever the device enters or exit the area.
